Quaint décor for your holiday table

If there’s one-holiday design trend that’s in this year, it is making use of quaint table décor. And, rustic centrepieces with a touch of greenery perfectly fits in with this trend. Earthy and natural materials such as pine cones and recycled paper work great in creating quaint décor for holiday tables.

It is quite easy to create quaint décor and rustic centrepieces for your holiday table. You can use hollow birch logs and place scented candles in them to create your very own rustic centrepieces. In the same vein, you can also place simple branches and pine cones into a glass jar to add rustic ambience to your holiday table.

Clusters of soft white candles in different sizes also work great as quaint centrepieces. For the holiday season, arrange your candles in the form of a cone to resemble a Christmas tree. Make sure to throw in some pine leaves in between the clusters to complete the look.

Centrepieces themed on greenery

Greenery is one design trend which has always been a huge hit, but it has been more so in 2017. Keeping this in mind, you should consider creating rustic centrepieces keeping greenery in mind. Thankfully, there are several ways you can do so.

One of the easiest ways to create a green centrepiece is by making use of bay leaves. Arrange the bay leaves in the form of a small wreath and lay them all across your holiday table. You can also place candles into the wreaths to create gorgeous centrepieces. Another great idea is to place clusters of citrus and rosemary in small vases to create evergreen centrepieces. Garlands of eucalyptus leaves can also be used in the same fashion.

Using a pomegranate also works great for a holiday table centrepiece as pomegranates are a symbol of changing seasons. Just take a small bowl, add some evergreen leaves to it and place a pomegranate in the middle. Trust me – this may sound simple, but it creates a wonderful and rustic effect.

And, if you want to go for something elaborate, you can make several small potted plants and use them as centrepieces. Potted evergreen ferns, paired with soft lighting can add a magical effect to your holiday table.

Neutral styling

If you’re not one to follow trends, then you should opt for neutral styling for your holiday table. Neutral styling will never go out of fashion, and more and more people are taking to it. The biggest reason behind this is because it is quite simple to create neutral styling in your home.

There are many ways you can create rustic centrepieces while also sticking to a neutral styling theme. One of my person favourites is to create succulent and delicate centrepieces using shades of rose and sage. I simply place them in a glass bowl with some water to create an organic touch.

Alternatively, you can also use small jars or glass cylinders to create holiday table centrepieces. Just add some pine cones, leaves, a little water and a candle, and you’ll have yourself an amazing rustic centrepiece. You can also use glass votives in gold or silver finishes and place candles in them to create warm and cheerful centrepieces.

There you have it – these are some of my top design ideas for creating rustic centrepieces for your holiday table. Sure, you can always go out and purchase decorations. But, by creating centrepieces on your own, you will undeniably have something unique – something that others will envy. And, it is quite easy to create rustic centrepieces.
